Default 3D animation? Go to India!

It seems that India is slowly creeping up to become the world's go to point for 3D animation. Sony Image Works digital effect supervisor Shoban Babu said at a career seminar in Chennai. Babu thinks that India will have a great slice of the 3D animation market by 2015, thereby encouraging students to take up 3D animation.

Babu also showed the students some stills from Spiderman 3 among all other movies and explained to them how he used software to create 3D effects for these Hollywood films.

That is great. India is now the biggest outsourcing provider in the world. Now with 3D animation taking off, it only makes sense that they enter 3D animation too.

I think that Indians, along with Philipinos, are great creative talents. In fact, I think a lot of them are currently working for visual effects and animation in Hollywood.

not to be mean, but our company was almost shut down by outsourcers from india. During discussions, they always said, yes yes we could do it, and then when the time the deliverables were due, they didnt come up with it!
