Default Is 3D here to stay?

I was wondering whether you agree with the notion that 3D is here to stay this time. I mean it was big years before and you still have your parents telling you about being in theatres and having all those glasses and all those gimmicks. I mean I remember my mom telling me about her first date with my dad. It was to a 3D film with those little water sprays. I forgot what movie it was though.

Fast forward to the 80s and the 90s... hmmmn, i don't think 3d movies were ever part of my dates hehehe

So you think that 3D is here to stay?

I think it is here to stay. It's just that it takes a while for people to get used to the extra charge they have to pay. But yeah, it's the next big thing that's already here.

for my part, I am kinda disappointed that there are not too many movies now that are in 3D. I mean except for animation and slasher/horror movies, there seems to be a market or genre for 3D movies.

Hmmmn... I agree. So far, we've had animated films and rehash horror movies coming out. But I am sure that we can expect some more coming out.

Going back to the original question, I think that one of the problems that we have for 3D is still eyestrain. I personally think that it's not as bad as they say it is, but you can still get tired eyes from watching a 3D movie. My 7 year old went dizzy from watching Up.

I think 3D is here to stay. And you know what else I think? I think that in time, 3D will be cheaper than it is now. I think theatres charge more for 3D nowadays because it's a novelty and people are curious. But given time? Ticket prices will go down.

I personally think that 3D never really left. Since it was introduced in some movies in the 50s, its popularity waned, but it never left. It was present in some form or another.

To directly answer your question, yes, I think that 3D in the way we see it in the movies is going to be here permanently.
